Fired Bureaucrats Struggle To Find Another Job Where They Don’t Have To Provide Value

Unemployed Bureaucrats

A number of former bureaucrats whose positions were eliminated by DOGE are finding it difficult to find another job where they don’t have to provide value.

“This is a frightening change,” said one former bureaucrat. “It’s tough to be told you have to go find a job where they expect you to have marketable skills.”

Many are amazed how rough it is in the private sector.

“The employers out there are unreasonable,” one bureaucrat complained. “They expect you to actually go into the office, achieve objectives, and show the value of what you’re doing.”

“My interviewer never even talked about the important things, like vacation time, personal time, and sick time.”

“It’s like they just don’t care about people...or their pronouns.”

Many tell of horror stories about budgets, ROI, and passing audits.

“One employer told me I’d be forced to spend company money on things that show measureable results, rather than on pet social engineering projects that make me and my co-workers feel good.”

Many would be uncomfortable working for a company that expects them to be accountable.

“You can’t expect a person to suddenly start following the law, responding to requests for oversight, and achieving measureable results.”

“I don’t know how people do it. It’ll take years to adjust.”
