Democrats Who Spent Decades Claiming Climate Change Would Cause More Intense Wildfires Claim There Was No Way To Foresee Them
California Democrats claim that, while they were obviously correct in their decades-long predictions
about global warming causing more intense wildfires,
they could not have been expected to have predicted these more intense wildfires.
“This totally proves we were right,” said Governor Newsom. “But just because we predicted this
doesn’t mean we could have predicted this.”
Officials blame their lack of preparation on the unforeseeable nature of this long-foreseen
catastrophe.
“There was no reason for us to believe our own predictions,” Newsom continued. “So we didn’t
believe them.”
“And we spent a lot of time warning people about these things we didn’t believe in.”
“I think people expect us to be psychic. Who could have predicted that our predictions would come
true?
“Who could have predicted that it would be harder to fight fires with a lot less firemen, a reduced
budget, and no water?”
“And, after we spent years predicting we’d have more intense fires, that we’d have more intense
fires?”
“Just because we predicted these things doesn’t mean we should have prepared for them.”
Newsom then accused Republican politicians of engaging in politics, and blamed Trump for finger-pointing.
