Democrats Put Their Standards on Display
at The Met Gala Event
NEW YORK, NEW YORK – On Monday night, New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute held its annual
Met Gala.
This year, many prominent Democrats came wearing clothing with specific messages written on them.
At the gala, where tickets were reportedly $30,000 per person, Alexandria Ocasic-Cortez (D-NY) wore a dress that said
“Tax The Rich”. She posed for a photo with Andrew Cuomo and Harvey Weinstein, wearing suits that said “Protect The
Elderly” and “End Harassment”.
Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) wore a dress that said “Equal Rights” as she walked maskless past the help who were required to wear
masks.
Senator Feinstein (D-CA) entered, wearing a shawl that said “More Gun Control”, followed closely by her armed guards.
Reportedly, John Kerry, flew all the way in from Switzerland on a private jet to model a suit that said, “Reduce Your Carbon
Footprint”.
A number of other Democratic congress people wore outfits that said both “Mandate the Vaccine” and “My Body, My Choice”.
Outside, a group of New York City council members wearing “Defund The Police” apparrel arrived with a police escort.
They quickly flashed their credentials on the way past the security guards, who were wearing jackets that said “IDs Are Racist”.
Meanwhile, several Democratic would-be gate-crashers, wearing outfits that said “Walls Don’t Work”, were complaining that
the temporary fence around the Met was stopping them from getting in.
