Obama Thanks Child Activist For Scaring People About Climate Change so His Oceanfront Mansion was Cheaper

WASHINGTON, D.C. – After getting a good deal on a oceanfront mansion, former President Obama thanked Swedish child environmental activist Greta Thunberg for scaring the previous owners into thinking the sea was rising so they would drop the price.

"We want to thank Greta, and other activists like her, for making people think the sea is rising. Otherwise we would've had to pay a lot more for this awesome house!"

"We know the sea isn't rising," Obama said, "That's all malarkey. If it were true, do you think we would have spent $15M on an oceanfront house? I mean...get serious!"

Child Climate Activist Greta Thunberg traveled from her native Sweden to the US to raise awareness of global climate change. She chose to sail here on a sailboat instead of flying, to keep her carbon footprint small. After she arrived, an entire separate crew flew from Sweden to the US to sail the vessel back home.

But of course, that wasn't Greta creating that carbon...it was someone else. Totally unrelated to Greta.
